During the Konami pre-E3 show a new Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 trailer was revealed and boy is it long. Seriously this trailer went on forever and now that I look at it, the final runtime is six minutes and twenty seconds which may not sound like a lot but as far as game trailers go, it certainly was.
The trailer is pretty badass actually and I’ve yet to play the original Lords of Shadow (it’s in my backlog) but this trailer certainly made me think that I should hurry up and get to it. I didn’t really have my eye on Lords of Shadow 2 going into E3 but the combination of a Patrick Stewart voice over, epic score and overall awesomeness won me over.
New to Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 is a game world fully connected and not plagued by loading times, in fact they’re not even there anymore. The static camera from the first game is now gone and now players will have full camera control in the sequel which should please many players.
Anyway definitely check out the trailer, it’s extremely well put together and could win you over like it did me.
Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 launches on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC this winter which technically means it could arrive in early 2014. Hopefully that’s not the case but keep an eye out for this one anyway, it looks very promising.
