Halo 4 First Official Gameplay Footage

Halo4-1

Microsoft kicked off their E3 2012 press conference with the first official footage from the latest game in their biggest franchise. We knew that Halo 4 would be featured at some point during the event, but they wasted no time getting the latest chapter in the Master Chief saga onto the screen.

After a weird, live action start, the game proper begins, and our hero finds himself in the jungle. This is where we’re introduced to some new enemies and weapons, including the Light Rifle and Scattershot. The Chief also employs heat vision to track his foes through the dense environment.

We also found out that Microsoft’s new Smart Glass app will feature in Halo 4, allowing players to arrange multiplayer games and access a host of Halo Waypoint details and features, as well as check out weapon schematics – all this from their smartphone or tablet.

It’s certainly one to look forward to, and we’ll provide all the details as they appear.
