If you’ve been dying to play Super Hexagon on your phone, but are not the possessor of an Apple device, you may be pleased to hear that it’s now available on Android as well. Super Hexagon comes to us from Terry Cavanagh, the creator of VVVVVV, and is a fast-as-hell, hypnotic, race through an ever-changing environment. Success is scored in seconds alive, rather then points or power-ups.
I’ve spent a few hour with it over the weekend, and I can easily say that it’s one of the most addictive mobile games I’ve had the pleasure of playing. Allowing yourself to get in the rhythm and react quickly to the challenges ahead requires entering a state of awareness similar to meditation. This is coupled with games that can last as little as 3 seconds, so the urge to have “just one more” go is hard to resist. As you successfully navigate through the obstacles, things get more difficult, with the world spinning wildly and pulsing to the music, which requires serious focus. It’s quite an experience and definitely worth the money.
Super Hexagon is available now from Google Play. It’s 60% off for a limited time, so grab it quickly. In the meantime, here’s the Super Hexagon Trailer to remind you why you want it:
