Uncharted 3 Multiplayer Becomes Free To Play

Though speculated in the past, Sony have now officially announced that Uncharted 3 multiplayer has officially become free to play. For those of you who have yet to play Uncharted 3 multiplayer, this is now a perfect time to jump in and see what the fuss is all about.

Personally I think this is a great move on the part of Sony, free to play is basically none existent on consoles games like Uncharted 3 are helping pave the way for free titles to follow suit in future. Great job Sony, we salute you.

The details on how this will all work can be found over at the PlayStation Blog.

Once you download the Free-to-Play game from the PS Store you can hop online and play for as long as you want, as much as you want, up to Level 15. Upon reaching Level 15, you’re welcome to continue to play as long as you want without paying a penny more. We’ll continue to track your earned experience points as you play, although you won’t be able to unlock or access them. However should you choose to unlock the level cap, we’ll retroactively apply those achievements to your profile and we’ll continue to allow you to build up your profile right from where the Level 15 cap stops you. Although if you choose not unlock the level cap or purchase anything you’ll be missing out on a slew of cool in-game items and downloadable content we have made for the game to date.

On a personal level I would recommend PS3 owners check out Uncharted 3 multiplayer, it’s some of the most fun I’ve had with a mutiplayer component of a game on PS3. It’s already available to download on PSN right now so get to it.

NOT so fast European PS3 owners, you on the other hand get to play the waiting game until the store bothers updating. As per usual our store hasn’t updated yet, hopefully Sony Europe gets their rubbish sorted out by the time PS4 launches.

Trailer Spoiler Warning: You’re joking right?
