Castle of Illusion Launch Trailer

Castle of Illusion 600 x 300

It feels like the 2013 re-imagining of Castle of Illusion was only announced just the other week and yet here we are with a launch trailer. The game is developed by Sega Studios Australia who unfortunately will be closing it’s doors now that the game is complete. It makes no sense to me and it would be a shame if Castle of Illusion ends up being awesome but this is the games industry, nothing ever makes any logical sense.

Mickey Mouse returns to star in a magical Disney adventure with all-new HD graphics and gameplay. Experience a world of enchantment as Castle of Illusion brings Mickey and his world to life. When the evil witch Mizrabel kidnaps Minnie, it’s up to Mickey to brave the dangers of the Castle of Illusion and journey through five fantastical worlds to rescue Minnie. Gather your courage and take on hordes of rebellious toys, traverse enchanted forests and navigate mazes of living books to save Minnie from Mizrabel’s evil clutches.

It’s worth noting that Castle of Illusion 2013 isn’t a remake, as mentioned at the start of this post, it’s a re-imagining instead. Basically the overall game will feel familiar but don’t expect your MegaDrive muscle memory to help you out here.

Castle of Illusion Staring Mickey Mouse carries a price tag of $14.99USD/£9.99/€14.99 and is available now for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. No Wii U version unfortunately because apparently this isn’t something that Nintendo fans would totally love. Again, nothing in this industry ever makes sense.
