Company of Heroes 2 E3 demo is available for one and all via the game’s page on Steam.
The demo takes place in a mid-game mission called “The Land Bridge to Leningrad” where the player has to cross a frozen lake under heavy enemy fire. The demo only cover part of the mission.
The mission is also included in the Company of Heroes 2 open beta which is currently open on Steam. Anyone already playing the beta will be able to access the campaign demo through the main menu. Anyone interested in signing up for the beta can do so at the Steam page for the game. Also included in the beta are tutorial videos for anyone wanting to get to grips with the controls.
The demo and beta will be available until Tuesday June 18th, a week before the game is released.
Company of Heroes 2, like the very popular first in the series, is set in WWII but shifts focus to the eastern front. The game is running on Relic Entertainment’s proprietary Essence 3.0 engine, which brings graphical enhancements, destructible environments, realistic weather patterns and more realistic A.I.
