There’s a new teaser trailer for Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut, the extended version of the game that holds the Guinness world record for ”Most Critically Polarizing Survival Horror Game.”
The Director’s Cut is coming exclusively to PS3 in Q1 2013, and promises a new, re-worked control system and downloadable content. Creator Hidetaka ‘Swery’ Suehiro has previously stated that he has a list of about 200 things he’d like to change from the original game, so he’s going through and choosing the most important ones for the director’s cut.
The teaser doesn’t show anything other than quotes from reviewers who actually liked the first game, but should get fans of the original excited for this re-imagining. Whether these changes will be enough to win over those who hated it the first time around remains to be seen, but I suppose we’ll find out when Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut arrives next year.
