Epic Games have launched a new official online store featuring specially designed merchandise for fans to buy. Off the top of my head I don’t recall there being demand for an online store but it’s here none the less. Don’t worry it’s not going up against Steam or anything, so far they are offering up some hoodies, posters and even a mug for those who want to look a little more badass when drinking their tea.
“We’re excited to launch Epic’s official store and provide our loyal fans apparel and merchandise that they can’t find anywhere else,” said Kendall Boyd, Epic’s director of marketing, worldwide studios. “Our hope is to grow our brand via channels such as the Epic Store and celebrate all of our terrific intellectual properties with the community.”
I’ve had a quick look at the store and it’s more or less what you’d expect, it’s a little basic at the moment but Epic Games will obviously expand on that in the coming weeks and months. Some of the Gears of War related T-Shirts are pretty cool but the Waggleton P. Tallylicker T-Shirt from Bulletstorm is clearly the winner here.
Anyone who played Bulletstorm will know exactly what I’m talking about, we salute you Waggleton P. Tallylicker. Gone but certainly not forgotten my friend. Screw Gears of War Judgment, where’s my Bulletstorm 2?
If anyone from Epic Games is reading this then I have a request for the store. I know he no longer works for you but any chance you could work out a deal with Cliff Bleszinski to design a T-Shirt for the retro section. I want one with this printed on the front.
