We had a launch trailer for the Thundercats game the other day, and now Chillingo have released a trailer for He-Man: The Most Powerful Game in the Universe. On the one hand, He-Man is finally getting the gaming recognition he deserves, but on the other hand, it’s a mobile title.
I know, there are some real gems in the mobile world, but I was hoping that when He-Man finally made the jump to modern consoles, he’d be appearing on one of those systems with proper buttons. 2D platformers work best with physical inputs instead of virtual ones, so unfortunately, us 80s kids may not get the experience we dreamed of.
Anyway, He-Man: The Most Powerful Game in the Universe will feature 27 levels spread across 7 realms of Eternia. It stars all the classic characters - He-Man, Skeletor, and a bunch of other my 4-year-old self could probably name but my 30-year-old self sure as hell can’t. It’s definitely coming to iOS, but no other platforms have been announced, nor a release date. We’ll be sure to keep you posted.
