Heavy Fire: Special Operations 3D Blasts onto the eShop This Week

heavyfire_art

Remember the awesome Heavy Fire series for Nintendo Wii, that puts you in the shoes of a special forces unit as you blast your way across war-torn middle-eastern battlefields? No, me neither, but who cares about that now - the latest game in the series is being upgraded to take advantage of the most awesome of dimensions - the third!

Heavy Fire: Special Operations 3D hits the 3DS this Thursday, September 13th. Fot just $4.99 you can enjoy all the thrills of on-rails shooting and blowing stuff up with grenades. Choose from three characters, each with unique attributes, and force some freedom upon those who oppose you. There are ground, vehicle, and air-based stages, and you can even destroy the environment for bonus points! As you fight your way through the 6 stages you’ll unlock new weapons and upgrades, giving you even more firepower to keep your boys alive and destroy those who stand in your way.

There’s really only one thing missing from Special Operations 3D, and that’s lightgun support. I’m not sure how you’d use it on the 3DS, but a game like this just begs for the old NES Zapper. God, I miss that thing.
