I’ve not been keeping an eye on LEGO City Undercover but this newest trailer has managed to gain my interest. I’m fully aware that this game has been on people’s radar for a while but I guess up until now I dismissed it as just another Lego game. I enjoyed the LEGO Star Wars games on PlayStation 2 back in 2005 and the original saga sequel was also cool but not long after I lost interest and moved on to other things.
It appears that during my absence from the series there have been a billion more Lego games made, again nothing caught my interest until I saw LEGO City Undercover. The game is being described as a Grand Theft Auto meets Lego which does hold some promise, it’s also a new original Lego game that’s not based on anything other than the Lego brand itself.
Judging by this newest trailer the game does seem to be coming along nicely, looks pretty amusing too. LEGO City Undercover is a Wii U exclusive and will be published by Nintendo which is a first to my knowledge, it’s set to launch on March 18th in North America and March 28th in Europe. The Wii U is in need of some titles so hopefully this and Rayman Legends start to get the ball rolling.
