Rockstar just announced that Max Payne Mobile will be arriving on Android this Thursday, June 14th. If you’re looking for the classic Max Payne experience, look no further, as this version will feature high-res textures, Social Club connectivity, user-customizable controls, and support for select USB controllers.
Of course, not all devices will be supported, but here’s a list of every phone and tablet confirmed to be compatible:
Supported Android Phones:
Motorola Razr, Razr Maxx, Motorola Atrix, Motorola Photon, Motorola Droid Bionic, HTC Rezound, HTC One X, HTC One S, HTC Evo 3D, HTC Sensation, HTC Droid Incredible 2, Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Samsung Nexus S, Samsung Galaxy Note, Samsung S2, Samsung Galaxy R, Sony Xperia Play, Sony Xperia S, Sony Walkman Z Series Media Player
Supported Android Tablets:
Acer Iconia, Asus Eee Pad Transformer, Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime, Dell Streak 7, LG Optimus Pad, Medion Lifetab, Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 / 10.1, Sony Tablet S, Sony Tablet P, Toshiba Thrive, HTC Flyer, HTC Jetstream
Max Payne Mobile will retail for $2.99, and as a Galaxy Nexus owner, I’ll definitely be among the many picking this up when it hits the Google Play store. Hard to believe that just a decade ago this was $50 and only available on the newest computers and consoles!
