Sonic Jump Available Now

Sonic Jump available now on the app store or should I say available several years ago for other mobiles but at least we now know what kind of game Sonic Jump is. Those hoping for the title to play in a similar vein to the excellent Rayman Jungle Run might be disappointed to find that it’s more Doodle Jump than it is the former. Then again if you were ever one of the people who needed more Sonic in your Doodle Jump then today is a good day to spin dash your way to the iTunes app store.

Sonic Jump is $1.99 / £1.49 / AUD$1.99 / €1.59 depending on where you live and you can download it on iPod touch, iPad, iPhone 4 and iPhone 5. If you’ve already jumped on the iPhone 5 bandwagon then you’ll be pleased to hear that Sonic Jump has been optimized for the bigger screen meaning you’ll see more of the action.

Sega have released the following info regarding Sonic Jump.

Sonic and his friends must stop Dr. Eggman from once again wreaking havoc, this time by jumping up through the levels to eventually take on the evil genius in an exhilarating head-to-head boss battle. Sonic Jump’s additional infinite Arcade Mode allows you to compete against your friends to see who can help Sonic reach the highest heights. The sky really is the limit, as the level won’t stop until Sonic drops! The single-player challenges of Sonic Jump will have Sonic bouncing as high and as fast as possible while collecting rings and earning power-ups to top the leaderboards!

Those with a good eye will notice that the trailer states “The Sky’s No Longer The Limit” whilst the press release states “The sky really is the limit”. So there you have it, Sonic Jump is out now and the sky may or may not be the limit.
