Good news for Xbox 360 owners not yet looking to upgrade to Xbox One, the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall will be done by Bluepoint Games. If you’re wondering just why in the world that’s a good thing, I suggest you take a look at the company’s history.
- 2006: Blast Factor - PlayStation 3
- 2009: God of War Collection - PlayStation 3
- 2011: The Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection - PlayStation 3
- 2011: Metal Gear Solid HD Collection PlayStation 3 - Xbox 360
- 2012: PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale - PlayStation Vita
- 2013: Flower - PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita
So they’ve done ports in the past, what’s the big deal? Well if you’ve played any of these ports then you’ll know that these are VERY good ports, some would make the claim that they’re the best ports in the business.
Respawn Entertainment who are currently developing Titanfall for the Xbox One and PC, handpicked the developer to handle the Xbox 360 version although at the time we didn’t think much of it.
I think we’re all guilty of assuming that Titanfall on Xbox 360 would be something of an after thought but it looks like we were wrong. There’s not footage of the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall just yet but rest assured it shouldn’t look all that different from what you see below.
Titanfall is currently set to launch on PC, Xbox One and Xbox 360 with a simultaneous release date of March 13th for all the different versions. There’s also some kind of BETA in the works although we don’t know enough about that just yet but do keep your eyes open for details in the near future.
