Just announced at Sony’s gamescom conference, Until Dawn is a completely new first party IP inspired by popular teen horror/slasher movies of recent years. The game follows a group of oversexed young adults as they embark on a romantic getaway to a log cabin deep in the woods. Unfortunately for them, some (as yet unnamed) danger also lurks in those woods. Soon their plans are shattered and they are forced to fight for their lives.
Until Dawn will support the Playstation Move controller and features the usual trapping of the horror genre, including flashlights, creepy locales, shotguns and a scary guy with a sack on his head.
While the trailer shown by Sony was fairly short and didn’t feature much actual gameplay, we’ll get a better idea of what to expect of Sony’s latest horror franchise in the coming weeks and months.
