Wonderbook: Book of Spells Conjures Up a Release Date

Wonderbook Book of Spells Bundle

Yeah, I’m writing about Wonderbook: Book of Spells, that strange, interactive children’s title shown at this year’s E3. While many adults will dismiss this as just another PlayStation Move disaster, there’s a chance that your kids will love it, and they can get their grubby mitts on a copy this November 13th.

Of course, there’s always the possibility that Book of Spells will succeed based solely on the name of J.K. Rowling. Having worked on nothing else since the completion of the Harry Potter saga, her rabid fans may need something to fill the void, and this is all they’re going to get. Unfortunately, I have a feeling that Book of Spells won’t quite scratch that itch.

Who knows, though? Sony haven’t had a lot of success integrating Move support into hardcore games, so what’s the harm in trying casual, kiddy fare? Those who are interested can purchase Wonderbook: Book of Spells for $39.99, or in a $79.99 pack that comes with the game, Wonderbook peripheral, PlayStation Eye, and Move controller.
