ACIV and Watch Dogs DLC exclusive to PlayStation for six months

Watch Dogs

It looks like the PlayStation exclusive downloadable content for Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag will be available on other platforms six months after launch…

The exclusive content coming to Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Watch Dogs will only be a 6-month timed-exclusive for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, the new “The Best Place to Play”promotional video suggests.

So, that means the content could be available on other platforms after that period…

You can see both Ubisoft titles mentioned in a section of the video below promoting exclusive content for multiplatform titles (1:15-1:29).

Ubisoft and Sony announced during E3 that the PlayStation 3 and PS4 versions of each game would feature an hour of exclusive gameplay. An asterisk in the video points out that the content is exclusive to PlayStation platforms for six months.

Assassin’s Creed 4 will receive three exclusive missions for Aveline, the player character in the 2012 PlayStation Vita title Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation. For Watch Dogs, the exclusive content totals four missions that center on protagonist Aiden Pearce’s quest for revenge against an internet mogul.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will launch on October 29, with Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC versions following in November. Watch Dogs will be available some time after March 2014.
