Sega has given its third person brawler ANARCHY REIGNS yet another release date. The fighter has undergone three push-backs from its previous release date two years ago, the last one being June when the game was scheduled to debut this year. Sega has recently posted some new artwork for the long-awaited title, featuring pictures of its characters in various fighting stances and poses. The game, which has been delayed for two years, is scheduled to come out for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in the first quarter of 2013.
ANARCHY REIGNS is Sega’s newest fighting endeavor that features a rather variegated roster of characters. Many of the characters appear to have cybernetic augmentations; Leo can alter his power output to draw blades from his arms and legs, Durga can kick to fire a cannon from his knee and Jack has a double chainsaw attached to his right arm. In the game’s trailer, the player is given a brief preview of the combat in ANARCHY REIGNS, which shows maybe four or five characters using cannons from long-range and engaging in explosive melee skirmishes up close.
Sega seems to be putting a lot of emphasis on the beat-em-up’s online multiplayer as well. Do you think that ANARCHY REIGNS will garner attention from the competitive fighting scene?
