It’s Comic Con week so of course there’s going to be a new Batman Arkham Origins trailer out. This time round we’re taking a look at Copperhead, a character I’m honestly not all that familiar with. I can name you about a dozen Batman civilians off the top of my head but Copperhead is certainly new to me.
The trailer itself doesn’t really show anything in terms of gameplay, we’re instead treated to snippets of a cut-scene featuring Copperhead going all lucha libre on Batman. With this being an origins story we see a younger less experienced Batman who gets his ass handed to him by Copperhead. Expect plenty of Batman not being quite on top of his game with origins.
Did I mention I got the chance to go hands on with Batman Arkham Origins not too long ago? It was pretty cool and I enjoyed the small portion I got to play. It’s not pushing the series forward but it seems like it will be pretty cool none the less.
Batman Arkham Origins will be out on October 25th for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U and PC. There’s also a separate title called Batman Arkham Origins Blackgate for the 3DS and Vita which takes place after the story of Origins concludes. It’s a 2.5D “Metroidvania” style game developed by former Retro Studios staff so it could end up being better than the console version to be honest.
