Double Fine Productions have revealed a new teaser trailer for their upcoming adventure title, Broken Age. I take it some of you will remember Double Fine’s Kickstarter page, they were asking for $400,000 from fans to help fund a new adventure title.
Since then the Kickstater page has gone on to reach a massive $3,336,371, that’s a hell of a lot more than what they were asking for in the first place. So much so that the game has seen an increase in production values to the point where, judging by the teaser trailer, it can pretty much hold it’s own against against any higher calibre digital download title.
At the moment we don’t know much about Broken Age other than it’s a classic style point and click adventure game, just like the ones Lucasarts used to do back in the 90′s when they weren’t pumping out rubbish Star Wars titles. Hopefully Broken Age will play a part in bringing new life into the “point & click” genre and not disappoint the fans who supported the game on Kickstarter.
Currently the game is due to arrive on Windows, Linux, Mac, Android and iOS devices. There’s no denying that a Wii U version would make a lot of sense somewhere down the line given the Wii Remote and GamePad support.
