Here’s some positive DLC news for a change, for a limited time Nintendo are offer the classic coin rush DLC for free. Nintendo will start charging for the pack after January next year so if you own the game you might as well pop in it and get downloading because who doesn’t like a bit of classic Mario action. Actually I give the classic coin rush DLC a go just a little earlier and the feeling is bitter sweet.
One one hand you get to experience several classic levels from past Mario games and they are just as fun as you remember, on the other hand they only serve to remind just how much better past Mario games are compared to New Super Mario Bros 2. The classic coin rush DLC pack contains the following levels.
- Round 1 from Mario Bros.
- 1-1, 1-2 and 1-4 from Super Mario Bros.
- 1-1 and 1-5 from Super Mario Bros. 3
Maybe it’s just me but the levels from Super Mario Bros 3 are the ones that excite me the most, thankfully no levels from Super Mario Bros 2 are featured within the pack. The announcement of this pack was revealed via Nintendo Direct and yes the creepy Andross/Dr. Kawashima style Iwata head returns once again.
