Want to get Metro 2033 on Steam for free? Well all you have to do is like this page and that’s pretty much it. I’m honestly not messing around with you guys, it’s that easy and no there isn’t any hidden catch. This is even better than the Humble Bundle THQ are still doing, at least until tomorrow anyway.
So what exactly is going on at THQ at the moment? Well the company is struggling these days and I can understand them resorting to desperate measures as a result but I fail to see how giving away a free game is going to help their cause. Perhaps this is a marketing scheme designed to generate hype and excitement around the Metro 2033 franchise. To be fair it’s working because if you didn’t know about Metro 2033 before you certainly do now.
The sequel to Metro 2033 titled Metro: Last Light is currently under development over at 4A games and it’s looking promising so far. In the past a Wii U version was hinted at but ended up being cancelled due to lack of resources. Developing a game like Metro: Last Light for three different platforms is already proving to be a bit of a challenge for 4A Games as the studio isn’t exactly as big as you would think. That’s not to say it won’t happen sometime in the future so fingers crossed.
