Video games are becoming far more movie-like in their storytelling, and the brand new video for Hitman: Absolution shows us the process involved. We’ve seen plenty of trailers for the latest in IO Interactive’s series of contract killer games, but this one takes us behind the curtain more than any previous video has.
In many ways, the process of portraying the characters is much like a feature film, with the actors’ movements, voice, and body language captured on screen. However, as the producers mention, there are no costumes or makeup required, so the entire focus can be on the acting; creating memorable and believable characters that bring the story to life and tell us the tale of Agent 47.
This is just the first in a series of behind-the-scenes videos for Hitman: Absolution, so expect plenty more as we build up to the game’s November release.
