Any still remember Kameo Elements of Power? It was an Xbox 360 launch title with an awesome soundtrack which has now been made available for free. Much like Grant Kirkhope before him, Kameo Elements of Power composer Steve Burke has thrown the entire soundtrack to the game online for the great price of free.
Kameo Elements of Power even eight years later remains one of my favourite Xbox 360 exclusives, it was originally in development for the GameCube before being moved to the Xbox. Eventually the game finally saw release as an Xbox 360 exclusive with some incredible visuals that really showed what the Xbox 360 could do, it was a much better game than Perfect Dark Zero.
At some point a sequel was planned at Rare but was cancelled as it seems Microsoft enjoy shooting down anything the developer comes up with and instead relegates them to Kinect titles. Some initital designs can be found online such as this one.
Thanks a lot Microsoft, I would’ve loved to have seen a Kameo 2 but instead you shower me with mutiple Halo, Forza and Gears of War sequels. Anyway we’re here because of the soundtrack that Steve Burke has kindly made available on his site so do give him a visit.
Although the entire soundtrack is great and definitely worth downloading, I’d like to leave you now with my personal favourite track from the game. Maybe some day Microsoft will greenlight a sequel, well they won’t but we live in hope.
