Plenty of PS Vita news has come out of this year’s Gamescom, and here’s a bit more: We have a new video and partial tracklist for KickBeat, Zen Studios’ upcoming beat-em-up (with emphasis on the word beat) for Sony’s current handheld.
If you haven’t seen the game before, it combines fighting and rhythm into a strange mash-up of genres. The new video shows how the control system works and gives us a feel of the actual gameplay. 18 licensed tracks will feature in the final release, with artists such as Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, and…. a whole bunch of others I’ve never heard of. On top of that, you’ll be able to take your existing collection of songs and generate levels based on them. Here are the tracks confirmed so far:
- Pendulum – Self vs. Self
- Marilyn Manson – The Beautiful People
- Rob Zombie – Scum of the Earth
- Voicians – The Construct
- Shen Yi – War Dance
- Celldweller – I Can’t Wait
- Styles of Beyond – Nine Thou
- Southpaw Swagger – It’s Showtime
- Blue Stahli – Ultranumb
And here’s the new Gamescom trailer:
