A trailer for Suda 51′s Killer Is Dead title has been released and yeah, it looks just as crazy as you would expect from a Suda 51 game.
Killer Is Dead is the latest title from Suda 51, the man responsible for Killer 7, No More Heroes, Shadows of the Damned and Lollipop Chainsaw. If you’ve ever played any of his titles then you’ll know that the guy it pretty out there, seriously there’s nothing on the market quiet like a Suda 51 title.
“KILLER IS DEAD” is set in a not-so-distant future similar to (but not the same as) the world we know now. The player takes control of an executioner named Mondo Zappa who wields a Japanese sword in his right hand and brandishes interchangeable weapons in his left artificial arm. His ultimate goal is to execute various heinous criminals scattered around the world and beyond.
Upon first glimpse it’s easy to label this a No More Heroes style game for Xbox 360 & PS3 owners, then the main character pulls out a massive gun and starts shooting stuff, so much for that then. Killer Is Dead currently has a summer release so it will be with us sooner than I was expecting.
If you’re bored of repetitive sequels within the industry and want to try something different, Suda 51 has got you covered. His games may not always be the finest on the market but they certainly are some of the most memorable.
