Mad Catz have announced that the Tournament Edition 2 FightStick is coming to the Xbox One. It does feel rather weird reporting on something Xbox related that doesn’t involve shooting stuff for once.
Anyway you know Mad Catz, they used to be behind some HORRIBLE 3rd party hardware accessories in the past but have since really turned things around. Not only is Mad Catz no longer a laughable brand, they’re actually a pretty damn good one which is why it’s good to see them grace the Xbox One with their presence.
- “E3 greeted us with a positive reaction to our Tournament Edition 2 FightStick and we’re pleased that the controller will provide passionate fans of Killer Instinct with an even richer gaming experience,” said Darren Richardson, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Mad Catz Interactive, Inc. “We earlier commented how the enhanced performance of the Xbox One opens up additional scope for innovation and believe that the Killer Instinct Tournament Edition 2 FightStick perfectly illustrates our commitment to the next generation of entertainment.”
Mad Catz have confirmed that the Tournament Edition 2 FightStick will be available in fall 2013, likely whenever the Xbox One launches in order to tie in with the upcoming Killer Instinct. No pricing details have been revealed yet and no word on whether it features Sanwa parts but considering how all past Tournament Edition have had them, it’s fair to assume nothing has changed in that regard.
