If you were previously excited about Metal Gear Rising, the tale of a cyber ninja and his sword of vengeance (or revengeance), prepare to become ecstatic. Konami have just announced that alongside the regular edition of the game, a super special limited edition will be making its way to stores.
As well as a copy of the game, limited edition buyers will receive an official soundtrack, a limited edition 2-sided Steelbook case, and the best bonus of all: a high-frequency katana blade plasma lamp! I managed to find a low quality shot of the lamp (see above) and it looks like the type of thing any self respecting geek would happily place in a prominent part of their house.
The limited edition pack has only been confirmed for North America so far, but I’m surely not the only one who hopes a European announcement is on the way. Metal Gear rising arrives in the US on February 19th, with the limited edition launching alongside it.
