If an Amazon listing is to be believe then Mortal Kombat could very well be coming to the PC, better late than never I suppose. It’s worth pointing out that Amazon listings in the past have proven to be rather reliable, we found out about Ninja Gaiden III Razor’s Edge coming to Xbox 360 & PS3 thanks to an Amazon listing.
What’s being listed here is the Game of the Year edition which is likely just the same thing as the Komplete edition we saw last year. Since it’s release Mortal Kombat saw additional DLC in the form of four extra playable character, Freddy Krueger being one of them if you can believe that. It’s also listed as running on Windows XP/7 and has a June 14th release date which seems plausible.
Mortal Kombat for those of you who have not played it, is actually a damn good fighter for once. Shaolin Monks aside I always found the series to be a bit of a joke but nine games later they finally got it right with this game. The team is currently at work on finishing up development on Injustice Gods Among Us, I wouldn’t expect the PC version of Mortal Kombat to feature any compelling additions outside the ability to run at a higher resolution than it did on the consoles.
