Michael Dailly, creator of Lemmings and the original GTA, has been working on a 3D remake of the original Grand Theft Auto title.
When the original ’2D’ GTA was released in 1997, it was a great game, but it looked a bit outdated in a technical perspective when compared with hits of the moment such as Quake or Dukem Nukem 3D games that were the reference back then.
Now, we have been informed that the creator of the game, Michael Dailly is dedicating part of his time to make a 3D version of the original title using GameMaker Studio and the results so far are pretty promising as you can see in the photo.
No date for a release yet, but we will follow the project closely. Meanwhile, you can follow Mike on Twitter where he post most of the updates.
