A new trailer for Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 has been released, this one focuses on headshots. There’s actually two sniper based titles on the market which is sure to cause some confusion amongst gamers so let’s break it down.
- Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 is the sequel to the game with the worst ending in the history of video games.
- Sniper Elite V2 is a remake of a 2005 title of the same name released last year.
Whilst the first Sniper Ghost Warrior title wasn’t as great as it should have been, the sequel is looking much more promising. This time round the developers are using Crytek’s CryEngine 3 technology to power the game and as you can see from the trailer, the results are a much more visually pleasing game.
It’s nice to see a first person shooter focus on being stealthy with a sniper rifle instead of the usual Rambo type shooters we see flood the market these days. I’m sure you all remember the excellent sniper mission from Call of Duty 4, if Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 can emulate that and turn it into a full fledged game then we could be looking at something pretty good here.
Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 launches on March 12th.
