There goes another 1.1 million at World of Warcraft

The fresh earnings report for Q2 explains that World of Warcraft has lost another 1.1 million subscribers. The end of Cataclysm is giving them a hard time with more and more people unsubscribing due to finishing the game or going to other MMORPG’s with so many great ones on the horizon.

In the meantime, the announcement for Mist of Pandaria’s launch date might turn this around. Diablo III also covers for this loss as it is one of the best selling PC-games of all time. Eastern players are unsubscribing the most while US and European are staying for a while longer. It has been a while since the count for World of Warcraft subscribers was below 10 million. For those that have lost the count, the current number is at 9.1 million subscribers. Weather they are active or not is uncertain.
