Hideo Kojima (All Praise Hideo Kojima!) and his team at Konami have released an English version of the opening scene to the upcoming open-world stealth-em-up, Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes.

The video is very similar to the brief teaser trailers seen before, showing the military base and the very impressive visuals.

You also get to hear the new voice of Snake, TV’s Jack Bauer, and as a Metal Gear Solid fan I just find it odd.

There isn’t much more to say, the video tells you all you need to know. The intro sequence was given it’s first outing by Hideo Kojima (All Praise Hideo Kojima!) at the Tokyo Game Show and was supplemented by 12 minutes of gameplay footage. Just FYI, that’s all in Japanese.

The linkage between Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain, the two halves of Metal Gear Solid V are going to be explained over the next few weeks with the promise of some “significant” information coming our way by the end of October.

Metal Gear Solid V is set to be released on both current and next-gen consoles though a specific date is unclear at the moment.
