LEGO City Undercover isn’t even out and we’re already getting more LEGO games in the form of LEGO Batman 2 which is coming to the Wii U.
LEGO Batman 2 came out on all major systems last year and reception towards the title was solid with a Metacritic average of 81%. Some have hailed it as the best LEGO game yet although the upcoming LEGO City Undercover looks set to change that when it launches next month.
First up is the all too familiar box art for the Wii U version followed by the press release.
LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes will take advantage of the innovative Wii U™ GamePad controller. Players will navigate through Gotham City using an enhanced interactive map and select their favorite DC Comics characters to assemble a powerful team of heroes, all with the use of the controller’s touchscreen. They can even enjoy the entire game experience on the GamePad in off-TV mode, or have a second player join in on the TV, so they can fight crime together without having to share a single screen.
Yes it’s a port and a late on at that but anyone who knows a Wii U will tell you that the off-TV mode on the GamePad is rather awesome. The ability to also co-op with a friend without sharing a single screen is also welcome so there’s some incentive to pick up the Wii U version if you’ve not yet played the game.
LEGO Batman 2 DC Super Heroes arrives sometime in June for Wii U.
Trailer Spoiler Warning: It’s a LEGO game, what do you think?
