The Metal Gear Solid Legacy Collection has hit stores in Europe a little over two months after being released in Japan and the US.
The collection includes:
- Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2, Metal Gear Solid 2: HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid 3: HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid 4 Trophy Edition and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Edition
- Also includes Metal Gear Solid 1 and Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions
- 2 Exclusive Ashley Wood Bande Desinee Graphic Novels
- Upscaled in HD and released for the first time in Europe
- 92+ Average Metacritic Rating for all games
- 100 page artbook - spanning the 25 year history of the acclaimed Metal Gear series
Much like The Elder Scrolls Anthology, it’s definitely one for the Metal Gear Solid fans (like me) so I’ll definitely be picking this one up.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see a few more legacy/anthology style editions coming out soon. It’s a good way for publishers to keep their series’ in circulation especially when they’ve both got new titles coming out fairly soon. Might stop them from getting buried under the next-gen releases. Maybe.
