Konami have a released a new english trailer for Metal Gear Solid The Legacy Collection which launches exclusively on PlayStation 3 next month. Why is it a PlayStation 3 exclusive I hear you ask? Well it’s quite simple, Metal Gear Solid 4 was never released on Xbox 360 and it wouldn’t really be a legacy collection without it’s inclusion.
Besides this collection is a repackaging of games already currently available, do you really think Konami is going to spend all that time converting MGS 4 onto the Xbox 360? That right there is pretty much going to be three discs alone let alone the rest of the collection.
What’s that? You don’t know what Metal Gear Solid The Legacy Collection is?
It’s a collection of all the Metal Gear games rolled into one package, in other words, a total must have for fans of the series.
- Metal Gear
- Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake
- Metal Gear Solid
- Metal Gear Solid Integral/VR Missions
- Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
- Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
- Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
- Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker
Also included are two videos, one being the Metal Gear Solid Digital Graphic Novel and the other being the Metal Gear Solid 2 Digital Graphic Novel. It’s the perfect Metal Gear collection that sets you up nicely going into Metal Gear Solid V next year.
As you can see from the trailer above, the collection has a July 9th release date for North America. Konami have yet to announce a European release date but hopefully we won’t have to wait too much longer. Why do we even have to wait for these kinds of things, to my knowledge continental Europe is bigger than continental USA. Come on Konami, don’t leave us hanging like this.
