Capcom have announced it’s DLC plans for Phoenix Wright Dual Destinies even though the game doesn’t have a firm release date yet. This should really go down as a dick move on Capcom’s part, much like Bioshock Infinite’s season pass DLC which you could buy at launch and we STILL don’t know anything about. Keyword here however is “SHOULD” because this is actually the greatest piece of DLC ever.
Special Chapter: Turnabout Return is an additional DLC case which tasks Phoenix Wright with defending a whale in court against a murder charge. Not only is there a whale in this game but it’s been framed of murder so basically…
BEST GAME EVER!
The DLC case takes place after Apollo Justice but before Dual Destinies so it’s mainly there to tie both titles together. It’s actually Phoenix’s first case since regaining his badge after he decided to act like a bit of a bum in Apollo Justice.
There’s also some additional costume DLC that allows players to retrofit Phoenix with his old classic blue suit but no one cares about that, you guys came here for the whale.
Phoenix Wright Dual Destinies is out in Japan TODAY but we’ll have to wait until later in the year to see translated version make it’s way over. Capcom have not yet revealed when this additional DLC case will be made available but hopefully it will be ready by the time the game launches outside Japan.
