Phoenix Wright: Dual Destinies - Turnabout Reclaimed DLC Trailer

Phoenix Wright 600 x 300

Today marks the launch of the additional DLC episode for Phoenix Wright Dual Destinies on the Nintendo 3DS. Believe it or not, despite coming from CAPCOM, this piece of DLC might actually be one of the very best examples of DLC done right.

In the past Capcom have been notorious for their ridiculous DLC practices, both in price and the fact it’s almost always locked away on the disc to begin with. Thankfully Capcom seem to have learnt their lesson from Street Fighter X Tekken and bring us ‘Tournabout Reclaimed’, an additional DLC case for Phoenix Wright Dual Destines that has you defending a killer whale in court… no joke!

Turnabout Reclaimed is a full-length additional episode that tells the story of the first case Phoenix Wright took on after reclaiming his Attorney’s badge. Unravel the truth using all the investigation techniques from Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies, including the Mood Matrix and Psyche-Lock. Series favourite character Pearl Fey returns to assist the team as they face off against the mysterious prosecutor Simon Blackquill.

I’ve already put in over an hour’s worth of playtime into ‘Tournabout Reclaimed’ and it’s amazing, it’s so wacky and silly even by the series standards. It’s available now to download the the game’s DLC option on the main menu and costs a reasonable €4.99 / $5.99 / £3.99.

Not too long ago I reviewed Phoenix Wright Dual Destinies and referred to it as the best thing Capcom had done in years. Today I once again tip my hat to Capcom for the ‘Turnabout Reclaimed’ DLC episode, great stuff.
