PlayStation All-Stars Brings New Characters and ‘Cross Buy’ Support

ps all-stars

PlayStation All-Stars, the Smash Bros. of the Sony world, is getting some new characters and features, as reveled during Sony’s Gamescom 2012 press conference. First of all, the new characters - Ratchet and Clank, Spike from Ape Escape, Dante from DmC, and Sackboy will all be joining the existing roster. They’ll certainly be welcome among the already-large cast.

Secondly, the game will kick off a fantastic new Sony feature called ‘Cross Buy’. I’m sure I wasn’t the only person torn between purchasing All-Stars on the PS3, for multiplayer, and on the Vita, for convenience. Well, it turns out that anyone who buys the game on PS3 will also receive a code for the handheld version.

This is a great new scheme, and definitely adds more value for money to PlayStation purchases. We’ll also see Cross Buy support for upcoming Sly Cooper and Ratchet and Clank games, and hopefully many more titles in the future.
