After much speculation Capcom have finally confirmed console ports of Resident Evil Revelations. Regular readers will remember my post regarding a possible Xbox 360 port of Resident Evil Revelations after an achievements list made it’s way online. Not only is Resident Evil Revelations coming to the Xbox 360 but PS3, Wii U and PC owners will also be able to get in on the action.
Complete with high quality HD visuals, enhanced lighting effects and an immersive sound experience, the fear that was originally brought to players in Resident Evil Revelations on the Nintendo 3DS™ system returns redefined for home consoles. Furthermore, the home console version will deliver additional content including a terrifying new enemy, extra difficulty mode and improvements to Raid Mode such as new weapons, skill sets and the opportunity to play as Hunk and other characters from the series. Raid Mode, which was first introduced to the series in the original version of Resident Evil Revelations, sees gamers play online in co-op mode or alone in single player, taking on the hordes of enemies across a variety of missions whilst levelling up characters and earning weapon upgrades.
Regarded by many as the best Resident Evil games in years Revelations is sure to make up for whatever Resident Evil 6 was supposed to be. Resident Evil Revelations is due on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U & PC on May 21st in North America and May 24th in Europe. There will also be a digital download version for PS3 & PC on the same dates with details on the Xbox 360 & Wii U coming at a later date but I’ll keep you posted on that.
How does a handheld game look on the console? Well pretty good actually judging by the trailer.
