I normally hate cosplay but I recently came across some pretty impressive Ivy SoulCalibur V cosplay. I guess the reason I’m not so big on cosplay is because I want the costumes to look as realistic as possible and I normally end up seeing people running around in cardboard. Other times what looks good in the game does not translate well into real life.
By now it’s pretty common knowledge amongst my friends that I’m a bit of a SoulCalibur nut, I fell in love with the series since 1999 on Dreamcast and whilst many have lost interest over the years I’m still a massive fan. I don’t think the series gets enough credit for all the amazing art design that goes into these games, there is not a single pixel in these games that hasn’t been lovingly crafted.
Anyway what we have here is an attempt at doing an Ivy cosplay and it’s a damn good one at that, Ivy is perhaps only second to Chun Li in terms of popularity in the fighting genre. Yes I love the series and maybe I’m a bit biased but I think it looks pretty great and just wanted to share it with everyone.
