With just under two weeks to go, Gears of War Judgment is almost upon us but the launch trailer is right here, right now.
Developed by People Can Fly of Bulletstorm fame, this latest Gears of War title is set before the events of the first game therefore acting as a prequel to the series. The story follows Lt. Damon Baird and Pvt. Augustus “The Cole Train” Cole so thankfully no boring Marcus or Dom, that’s just my opinion anyway.
“‘Judgment’ is a tribute to the die-hard ‘Gears’ fans who have been with us since the beginning, and an amazing experience for anyone who loves intense action and gripping, cinematic storytelling,” said Alan Van Slyke, Senior Producer of “Gears of War: Judgment” at Epic Games. “Thanks to the support of partners at People Can Fly, we’ve pushed the ‘Gears’ franchise in all-new directions, whilst bringing back some of the key elements that put us on the map, and we can’t wait to share it with the world later this month.”
Other bits of information that may interest you is the usual VIP Season Pass that will be available at launch for 1600 Microsoft points. More details of what exactly the Season Pass offers will be be announced in the coming weeks but expect six multiplayer maps, two new modes and nine exclusive unlocks.
Gears of War Judgment launches exclusively for Xbox 360 on March 19th in North America and March 22nd for everyone else in Europe. One more Gears of War title before we jump to the next generation? Yeah why not, I’m game.
