Good news everyone, there’s finally a reason to pre-order for once. Pre-Ordering Gears of War Judgment will net get you a copy of Gears 2 or 3 for free. This sweet deal unfortunately only applies to Wallmart meaning it’s one for our American friends across the pond. Yes this stacks on top of the current deal where new copies of the game feature a download code for the original Gears of War.
This is all great and it’s nice to see some decent pre-order deals beyond stupid DLC skins but does the game really need it? Are we just mounting additional extras on top of Gears of War Judgment because the game doesn’t contain the number four in it’s title therefore we assume it’s not going to sell?
Maybe I’m looking too deep into this and it’s simply Walmart’s excuse to get rid of some Gears of War games they have lying around in a warehouse somewhere. Gears of War 3 isn’t even all that old, it only came out in late 2011 and it’s already being given away for free.
Anyway Gears of War Judgment should be with us next month, there’s going to be a demo of the new Overun mode made available to everyone on March 19th which is the same day as the North American launch. Not to worry Europe as we get it on March 22nd so it’s only a few days difference.
