Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX Available Now (Launch Trailer)

Kingdom Hearts 600 x 300

It’s been a long time coming but Kingdom Hearts has finally made it’s return to a console with Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX. The last time we saw a Kingdom Hearts title released on a console was actually 2004′s Kingdom Hearts II for the PlayStation 2, everything else since then has been showing up on the handhelds.

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX is a collection of two Kingdom Hearts titles, first up is Kingdom Hearts Final Mix which is an updated version of the original Kingdom Hearts that up until now wasn’t released outside Japan. The second title on offer is Kingdom Hearts Re-Chain of Memories which is a 3D remake of the original version that came out for the GameBoy Advance. Finally they’ve also thrown in HD remastered cut-scenes from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days to complete the package.

It’s believed that Square Enix is also working on a second Kingdom Hearts HD collection titled Kingdom Hearts 2.5 ReMIX. This collection is expected to contain Kingdom Hearts II, Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep and HD remastered cut-scenes from Kingdom Hearts Re:coded. Between these two collections, you’ve pretty much got the entire series remastered in HD with the exception of Kingdom Hearts 3D Dream Drop Distance for the Nintendo 3DS.

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX is available now for the PlayStation 3 and yes, I’ve already got my copy from Amazon earlier today :)
