During the Disney’s D23 Expo Square Enix a new trailer for the upcoming Kingdom Hearts III was revealed. Initially most were assuming we’d simply get some kind of extended version of the E3 trailer but much to our delight, it’s actually a brand new trailer.
What’s even better is that it appears to be comprised of actual gameplay too although we can’t be certain for sure given how Final Fantasy XIII also featured “gameplay” in it’s early trailers. What we see however does look achievable, in fact someone might even suggest it looks “current gen” although I think fans will just be happy to know that a Kingdom Hearts III is in development.
As I’ve said in the past, don’t expect this one to arrive any time soon as series director Tetsuya Nomura has been quoted as saying that he feels Kingdom Hearts III was announced “too early“. Given the rocky nature of Square Enix’s other title in the “HD era”, I can’t help but agree with him.
Kingdom Hearts III may be a long way away but there’s still plenty of Kingdom Hearts goodness to keep you entertained until then. Not too long ago Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX was released and only just yesterday we heard an official announcement of Kingdom Hearts II.5 HD Remix.
