Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Coming in March 2013

Capcom have just announced that Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be coming to Wii U and 3DS in March, 2013. Monster Hunter is a massive series in Japan, and kept sales of the PSP up for long periods of time - now they intend to bring some of that love to Nintendo’s current systems.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will take full advantage of the control inputs available on Nintendo’s systems. Both versions will utilize the touch screens for quick access to in-game books, weapons, field maps and mini games. Additionally, 3DS players can exchange their guild card that contains all their hunter’s information with other players via StreetPass.

Although the game will not feature online co-op, 3DS players can form 4-player local parties, and even join with those on the Wii U. Cross-platform save data means that hunters can begin on the big screen, then continue on their portable when they’re out of the house. This title should provide a big boost of Nintendo console sales, at least in Japan, when it launches next year.
