Time for a trailer and we have Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for the Wii U and 3DS. This one is a little bit confusing as Capcom are currently going a little crazy with the ports and sequels to these Monster Hunter games so let’s break it down to see what we’re dealing with here. Trust me it hurts my head just thinking about it.
Monster Hunter Tri was the third entry in the Monster Hunter series which was originally expected to arrive on the PS3 but later moved to the Wii with Capcom citing development costs as the reason for the switch. The game came out and was generally well received by everyone so a few years later Capcom decided to port the game to the Wii U and 3DS.
The game on 3DS came out in Japan LAST DECEMBER and an overseas version is due out in March 2013, talk about taking your time Capcom. The Wii U version will also be coming out during the same month so in March 2013 we’ll have our hands on Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for both systems, sounds cool right?
Monster Hunter FOUR on 3DS will arrive in Japan in March 2013 meaning they get the sequel whilst we’re stuck playing a port of a game that came out in 2010. Unless you live in Japan being a Monster Hunter fan can sure be a pain in the ass.
