There’s a New Super Mario Bros U launch trailer that Nintendo UK put out on it’s YouTube channel not too long ago. Yes it may be old news to you Americans but the Wii U is only just launching here in Europe so it’s time for us to start boarding that hype train whether you like it or not. The trailer basically shows you what you’ve come to expect from a 2D Mario game but oddly enough these trailers are way more effective when you are on the verge of buying the system and impulse a launch title.
Our North American editor Darren has already reviewed the game so if you’re on the edge of what to pick up on launch then check out his thoughts on the game. Here’s a brief excerpt, I think he likes it.
New Super Mario Bros. U isn’t Super Mario Bros. 3 and it isn’t Super Mario World. It is however, playing on the same field. It’s everything you want from a Mario game and everything you don’t. Challenging, charming, frustrating yet incredibly simplistic in execution.
Me like an idiot didn’t listen and figured Nintendoland would be enough but already found myself ordering NSMBU off Amazon. The pulling power of Mario should never be underestimated, I tried to skip it this time and failed horribly. On the plus side the game is receiving a warmer reception than NSMB 2 which let’s face it, was average at best.
