PlayStation Plus Now Available on Vita

We’ve known it was coming for a while, but the awesome service called PlayStation Plus is now available on the Vita. With it, you can play a selection of instant games every month, as well as receive discounts on other downloadable content.

I’ve checked it out, and it seems to be very similar to the PS3 version. Thankfully, PS3 subscribers already have access to the Vita version - that’s a bunch of free content for one low price. Some of the notable free content this month includes the brand new puzzler Chronovolt, as well as full retail titles Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Gravity Rush. I reviewed both of these games an thoroughly enjoyed them - the fact that they can now be downloaded for free is amazing. I just hope that next month we get some big budget titles that I don’t already own.

PlayStation Plus is a great service, and one that could help bring Vita sales to the level they should be at. If you’re not already a member, subscribe now. Seriously. It costs £11.99 / €14.99 for 90 days or £39.99 / €49.99 for a full year, That’s the cost of one retail title, so you’ll make it back as soon as you download Uncharted or Gravity Rush. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the future.
