Sega have release a brand new storyline trailer for Aliens Colonial Marines which is due for release in 2013. Sounds like a long way off but 2012 is almost over and the game is arriving on February 12th so it’s actually coming rather soon. In case you’re wondering this isn’t a sequel to the 2010 Aliens Versus Predator game released by Rebellion, it’s actually a new game developed by the good folks at Gearbox Software of Brothers in Arm and more recently Boaderlands fame.
The question on everyone’s mind is will it be any good? Truth is I don’t actually have a clue, in fact the only Aliens games I’ve actually played was 1999′s original Aliens Versus Predator which I enjoyed at the time. There’s also supposed to be some badass Aliens Versus Predator game released in the early 90′s by Capcom but that one never left the arcades so I’ve yet to play it, yes I’m a terrible person.
All I can say for the time being is thank god this game is called Aliens Colonial Marines, having every single game called Aliens Versus Predator gets really confusing after a while. There’s a Wii U version of Aliens Colonial Marines, the Wii U GamePad will be used as the classic motion tracker radar which should be pretty cool.
